Missed Chances

Missed Chances

Verse 1:

My chances come, but I let them slip,
Hurting people blinded by their pains,
Insecurities, in our bubbles from the thoughts of man,
Teach me to be that friend, non-judgemental with open ears,
Giving the Father’s wisdom, destroying these fears,
Break through the barrier, real-talk, you can save the fake,
Dealing with our problems right away,
Let Christ invade your space,
Holding on to the pain just isn’t worth it, use this as your testimony,
People out there are hurting just like you,

Chorus:

Missed chances,
These chances come, but we let them slip,
Right through our fingers like the grains of sand,
Reveal to me the importance, distract my mind from distractions,
Sometimes chances only come once, please don’t let them slip

Verse 2:

Our mind sure knows how to play tricks, so we got to know its ways,
Yes, we are all human, and yes, we all make mistakes,
But the wise are those that confess, they share their burdens with others,
This is how we grow, let others know to reveal the ways of old,
If we don’t share, your problems cant help, your boss at work, or the teller at the bank,
Their human and face problems too, they may face the same problem as you,
But they may not know the answer to solve it,
Abide in Christ and He’ll abide in you,
Without the vine, we can do nothing,
We can do nothing..

Talk:

This song was inspired by me,
I’ve had the opportunity to tell people about Jesus,
and how He can truly set them free, but I kept walking,
Sometimes I think, “I don’t feel God is telling me to speak to that person,
but what a horrible excuse”,
Learn from my mistake,
Everyone needs a Savior, and everyone needs to hear of Jesus

Verse 3:

I pray for strength for all that listen, make a way for what they’ve got to say,
Shame can steal a man’s blessing away,
So learn to fight the flesh, and the games it plays,
satan’s right there, but we have the Spirit,
All you have to do is ask, (All you have to do is ask),
Spirit, give me discernment, to see right from wrong,
Reveal to me where I must go, what I must do,
Cut off these sins from past generations,
I claim Christ’s Blood, save me from my sin Father,
All consuming fire, let me feel Your burning.

Chorus:

Missed chances,
These chances come, but we let them slip,
Right through our fingers like the grains of sand,
Reveal to me the importance, distract my mind from distractions,
Sometimes chances only come once, please don’t let them slip
